PERSONAL LIFE
Madonna Louise Ciccone was born to Catholic parents Silvio Anthony "Tony" Ciccone (b. 1931) and Madonna Louise Fortin (c. 1933 – December 1, 1963) in Bay City, Michigan, on August 16, 1958.
Tony worked as an engineer designer for Chrysler and General Motors.
Madonna's mother died of breast cancer when she was five. Her father later married the housekeeper and insisted that the kids call her "Mom."

Since Madonna had the same name as her mother, family members called her "Little Nonni".
She has two elder brothers, Anthony (born 1956) and Martin (born 1957), and three younger siblings, Paula (born 1959), Christopher (born 1960), and Melanie (born 1962).
According to her brother Christopher, the only thing Madonna can cook is Rice Krispie cakes.
The first gig that Madonna ever attended was David Bowie 's show at the Cobo Hall in Detroit on June 22, 1974.
When Madonna and artist Jean-Michel Basquiat broke up in the early 1980s, he took back all of the paintings he made for her and painted them black.
