Chinese

There were over 25,000 Chinese working on the American railroads. They bathed and change their clothes between meals. The Americans at this time only bathed once or twice a year.

Whilst working on the American railroads, the Chinese drunk lukewarm tea kept in 40 gallon whiskey barrels besides the railroad tracks.
