Coast

According to the UN atlas, 44% of people live within 93 miles of the sea.

The total length of the coast of Great Britain is thought to be 11,072.76 miles.

The total length of the world’s coastline is around 217,490 miles, roughly equal to the distance from the Earth to the Moon.

Canada has over 56 percent of the world's coastline. Canada's coastline has an overall length of 202,080 kms (125,567 miles)

Is is impossible to accurately measure the length of any coastline. The smaller the unit of measurement used, the longer the coast seems to be. This is called the Coastline Paradox and is a great example of fractal geometry.

Monaco has only 3.5 miles of coastline, less than any other non-landlocked country.
